Diamondbacks signed RHP Dylan File to a minor league contract.
File returns to the States after spending the 2023 season with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization. The now 27-year-old posted a 4.57 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 114 1/3 innings (19 starts) with the Triple-A affiliate for the Brewers. File should give the Diamondbacks pitching depth in the upper level of their minor league system.

Dylan File has signed with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization.
File, 30, was designated for assignment near the end of May by the Brewers. The right-hander stayed in the organization and registered a 4.57 ERA in 26 appearances -- 19 of them starts -- for Triple-A Nashville. He’ll have a chance to pitch in the KBO and impress, and doing so could lead to him being yet another pitcher who improves their stock by throwing well overseas.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #96
Brewers sent RHP Dylan File outright to Triple-A Nashville.
File is now off the 40-man roster. The 25-year-old has not made a major league appearance.

  • MLB Outfielder #3
Brewers optioned OF Corey Ray, LHP Angel Perdomo, C Mario Feliciano and RHP’s Alec Bettinger and Dylan File to Triple-A Nashville.
Ray is the most prominent inclusion among the Brewers’ first round of spring training cuts. The 27-year-old outfielder, who was selected fifth overall in the 2016 MLB Draft, got into just one game last season at the major-league level. Perdomo, Bettinger and File are expected to serve as organizational pitching depth this season.

Brewers activated RHP Dylan File from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville.
The 25-year-old has been sidelined all season while recovering from elbow surgery. File has made seven rehabs starts and is likely to jump into the Nashville rotation until a need arises at the major league level.

Dylan File (elbow) will move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville.
File has allowed five earned runs with a 9/4 K/BB ratio over 7 2/3 innings between rookie ball and High-A as he makes his way back from a stress fracture in his eight elbow. The 25-year-old might very well stay in Triple-A once he’s ready to be activated.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #96
Dylan File (elbow) transferred his minor-league rehab assignment to High-A Wisconsin on Saturday.
File spent time with the Brewers’ affiliate in the Arizona Complex League and will advance to facing higher level minor-league competition. The 25-year-old righty is still making his way back from surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right elbow. Barring any setbacks, he could be an option for the Brewers’ bullpen at some point in the second half.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #96
Dylan File (elbow) has started a minor-league rehab assignment with the Brewers’ affiliate in the Arizona Complex League.
File sustained a stress fracture in his right elbow and underwent surgery back in February. The 25-year-old righty started a throwing program a few months ago and is starting an official minor-league rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League. He could be an option for the Brewers’ bullpen in the second half.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #96
Brewers recalled RHP Dylan File from their alternate training site; placed him on the 60-day injured list.
The move was made on Sunday. Creative roster maneuvering by the Brewers, as the move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. File had surgery in February for a stress fracture in his elbow and is expected to be out until midseason, so this move doesn’t impact his timetable.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #96
Brewers optioned C Mario Feliciano, OF Corey Ray and RHPs Alec Bettinger and Dylan File to Triple-A Nashville; re-assigned OFs Tristen Lutz and Garrett Mitchell, INF Brice Turang, LHPs Clayton Andrews, Ethan Small and Quintin Torres-Costa and RHPs Jake Cousins, Thomas Jankins and Miguel Sánchez to minor league camp.
File showed improved velocity early on in camp but then camp down with an elbow injury. Ray, a former first-round draft pick from 2016, is still looking to make his major league debut.
