Bears punt returner Dwayne Harris suffered a torn triceps Monday night against the Vikings.
The injury could know out Harris for the remainder of the season. He had 10 punt returns for 81 yards in three games this season.

  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Raiders placed Dwayne Harris (ankle) on injured reserve.
Harris only suited up in three games this season. Trevor Davis has worked as the team’s primary returner in his absence. The Raiders signed LB Preston Brown in a corresponding roster move.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Raiders signed WR/KR Dwayne Harris, formerly of the Giants.
Harris is entering his age-31 season, so he fits the profile of the new-old Raiders, who seem to be going out of their way to sign veterans. Harris has little-to-zero value as a receiver and missed most of last season with a broken foot before getting released by the Giants last month. Harris is the in-house favorite to replace KR Cordarrelle Patterson, who was traded to New England.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Raiders KR/WR Dwayne Harris (ankle) is questionable to return for the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Chiefs.
Harris injured his ankle late in the second quarter, but at least appears to have avoided a major injury based on his “questionable” designation.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Dwayne Harris returned to action Sunday after briefly being sidelined with an ankle injury.
The Raiders’ kick returner and backup WR is good to go after a brief absence in the second quarter.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
    Raiders re-signed WR/KR Dwayne Harris.
Harris butters his bread on special teams/returns. He caught six passes in 2018. That will be his over/under for the upcoming campaign.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Owner Jerry Jones clarified Tuesday that Dez Bryant will only return punts in key situations going forward.
This should have been the plan all along for a physical player who spent his rookie season battling nicks and pains. Jones invoked Deion Sanders as a comp for Bryant, suggesting he will only been used late in a close game for the touchdown potential. Dwayne Harris is the favorite to handle the majority of punt returns. The Cowboys provided no update on Bryant’s injured quad Tuesday.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
    Cowboys waived WR Dwayne Harris.
Harris was impressive in preseason action, but he was bypassed by Laurent Robinson at receiver while averaging just 6.6 yards on 11 punt returns. The Cowboys will presumably be in the market for a return specialist, as Dez Bryant should no longer be an option. Harris is a good bet to draw interest on the waiver wire.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Owner/GM Jerry Jones has expressed faith in WR Andre Holmes.
With Laurent Robinson moving on in free agency, the Cowboys have a hole to fill at No. 3 receiver. Holmes went undrafted out of tiny Hillsdale last season, but spent most of the year on the practice squad developing. Dwayne Harris will likely enter camp as the favorite for the gig.
  • FA Wide Receiver #82
    Cowboys re-signed WR/KR Dwayne Harris.
Harris is back to provide help as a returner. Despite being waived in mid-October, Harris still leads the team with 11 punt returns on the season. He’ll allow Dez Bryant to focus on receiving duties and Felix Jones to focus on his workhorse role in the running game.
