Nic Claxton (rest) is not on the injury report against the Knicks on Sunday.
Claxton got the night off on Friday but will be back for the season finale. He should return to the starting center role, which will push Drew Timme to a reserve role. However, with Day’Ron Sharpe and Noah Clowney sidelined, Timme should still play plenty of minutes.
  • BKN Power Forward #20
Day’Ron Sharpe (knee) is out against the Knicks on Sunday.
Unsurprisingly, Sharpe, who hasn’t played since March 24, will remain sidelined for Brooklyn’s season finale. Expect Drew Timme to continue to dominate the minutes at center in a meaningless game for the Nets.
  • BKN Center #33
Nic Claxton (rest) and Ziaire Williams (knee) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
The Nets will be very shorthanded against the Timberwolves. Drew Timme and Maxwell Lewis are two players fantasy managers should keep an eye on as potential starters. Timme has legitimate upside for the rest of the season given his lack of competition at center.
  • BKN Power Forward #20
Day’Ron Sharpe (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Sharpe will not travel with the team for Brooklyn’s final road game of the season. He hasn’t appeared in a game since March 24, and it would be unsurprising if Sharpe were also held out of Sunday’s home finale against the Knicks. Expect plenty of Drew Timme, even if he comes off the bench.
  • BKN Power Forward #26
Drew Timme accounted for 13 points (4-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in 29 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks.
Timme finished Thursday’s defeat with his second double-double, and he’s hit double figures in points in five of his seven appearances with the Nets. With Brooklyn being severely shorthanded in the frontcourt, the undrafted rookie out of Gonzaga will have opportunities to produce in the team’s final two games. That’s also the case for Tosan Evbuomwan, who added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in 28 minutes off the bench. He and Timme are worth a look in deep leagues for Friday, as Cameron Johnson and Day’Ron Sharpe are out.
  • BKN Power Forward #26
Drew Timme had 16 points (7-of-10 FGs), nine rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer against the Pelicans on Tuesday.
Timme cam off the bench with Nic Claxton back in the starting lineup Tuesday. Ultimately, Timme played 29 minutes to Claxton’s 17 minutes in the five-point win over the Pelicans. The 24-year-old power forward was efficient on offense with 16 points on 10 shots and collected nine rebounds. It was impossible to know Timme would end up playing starter minutes when coming off the bench, but he continued to show that he can produce when given the opportunity.
  • BKN Small Forward #22
Reece Beekman, Trendon Watford, Jalen Wilson, Ziaire Williams and Nic Claxton will start against the Pelicans on Tuesday.
Wilson will replace Keon Johnson in the starting lineup, with Johnson getting a rest night. Claxton is back and will immediately return to his typical spot in the starting lineup, which will push Drew Timme to a reserve role.
  • BKN Center #33
Nic Claxton (rest) is not on the injury report for Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans.
Claxton will be available after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Raptors for rest reasons. His return means Drew Timme will head to the bench, with the rookie losing some fantasy value. However, Timme will continue to play rotation minutes, especially with Day’Ron Sharpe (knee) still sidelined.
  • BKN Power Forward #26
Drew Timme accumulated 13 points (5-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 26 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Raptors.
Timme started Sunday’s game for Nic Claxton, who was held out for rest reasons. The undrafted center out of Gonzaga has had his moments since joining the Nets, playing well enough to merit being streamed on nights when he’s allowed to start. The Nets’ four-game Week 23 includes a back-to-back, so managers whose leagues will be active may have another opportunity to stream Timme.
  • BKN Power Forward #26
Reece Beekman, Keon Johnson, Ziaire Williams, Trendon Watford, Drew Timme will start against the Raptors on Sunday.
With D’Angelo Russell (ankle) and Nic Claxton (rest) sidelined, Beekman and Timme will get spot starts for the Nets on Sunday. Beekman hasn’t looked promising when given opportunities to contribute, but Timme has shown potential through four games with Brooklyn.
