Middleton suffered the injury against the Vikings on Sunday. Middleton was filling in for Marcus Maye, who suffered a broken thumb Week 6 against the Colts. The Jets will have to turn to Terrence Brooks is Maye cannot make it back this week.

Middleton (6'0/209) was a two-plus-year starter for the Mountaineers, earning first-team All-Sun Belt as a junior but slipping to honorable mention as a senior. Although his final college season was a disappointment, Middleton bounced back with an eye-catching Pro Day, blazing 4.5-flat with a 38 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-11 broad jump. An NFL-level athlete with experience at cornerback and safety, Middleton offers some upside as a flyer prospect.
