According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors will host multiple free agents for workouts over the next few weeks.
The Warriors are well under the roster limit for training camp (20), as they have a total of 14 players guaranteed to be present in early October. Given the team’s salary cap situation, they have to look for relative bargains to fill out the roster. As a result, multiple free agents will work out for the team over the next two weeks. According to the report, Juan Toscano-Anderson is one of those players. Also reportedly headed to the Bay Area to work out for the Warriors are Dion Waiters, Tony Snell, Kent Bazemore, Harry Giles, and Trey Burke. Toscano-Anderson and Bazemore have been with the Warriors before, but there’s no telling if the familiarity will enhance their chances of sticking.
  • NBA Center #16
According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Harry Giles and Dion Waiters will hold separate private workouts for NBA teams on Monday in Las Vegas.
Giles (who last appeared in an NBA game during the 2020-21 season) and Waiters (who has been out since winning a title in the bubble with the Lakers in 2020) are looking to earn another shot in the NBA, so they’ll hold separate workouts for NBA teams while in Las Vegas. While the latter has eight seasons of NBA experience under his belt, the former only played three injury-riddled years for the Kings and Trail Blazers, with the Clippers waiving Giles in October 2021.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters is inactive for Friday’s game against the Heat.
Waiters, who has missed most of the preseason due to a groin injury, was active for Game 1 but did not play. He’s been moved back to the inactive list for Game 2, with rookie Talen Horton-Tucker replacing him.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) wasn’t on the Lakers’ injury report for Game 1 on Wednesday, but he also didn’t leave the bench.
No surprise here, as Waiters hasn’t been a reliable part of L.A.'s rotation in the postseason -- all of his minutes have come in garbage time. Because he was previously a member of the Heat, he’s likely going to receive a championship ring regardless of what happens in the Finals.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) is not being listed on the injury report for Game 1 of the Finals against the Heat on Wednesday.
Waiters hasn’t played since Game 2 of the Lakers’ second-round series with the Rockets, but it’s possible he’ll be on the active roster for Game 1 of the Finals. It’s also possible this is simply a clerical error, so he might be added to the IR report tomorrow. Either way, he’s irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) is questionable for Saturday’s Game 5 matchup with the Nuggets.
This is the first time Waiters is being listed as questionable since going down with the groin injury, which is progress, but whether he plays or not will not make a difference in fantasy hoops.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) didn’t play in Game 4 on Thursday.
Waiters was listed as ‘doubtful’ and his absence was no surprise. He hadn’t played since Sept. 9, when he logged three minutes of garbage time vs. the Rockets. There’s no reason to think he’ll make an impact for L.A. in the postseason.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) is doubtful to play in Game 4 against the Nuggets on Thursday.
He should get officially ruled out following tomorrow’s shootaround.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters didn’t play in Tuesday’s Game 3 against the Nuggets due to a groin injury.
He missed his sixth straight game and it’s unclear when he’ll return to action, not that it matters in fantasy.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Dion Waiters (left groin) is doubtful to play in Game 3 vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday.
It looks like he’ll be miss his sixth straight game tonight.
