Thomas got into eight games this season for the Angels and went 1-for-11 with six strikeouts at the plate before being designated for assignment back in August. The 29-year-old outfielder offers some speed and defensive ability, but hasn’t hit at all in a few brief stints at the highest level.

Thomas got designated for assignment on Sunday and passed through waivers unclaimed. He was 1-for-11 with six strikeouts in his time with the Angels this year and has a career .317 OPS in 23 major league plate appearances.

Thomas was waived to make space on the 40-man roster for Steven Duggar. The 29-year-old went 1-for-11 with six strikeouts with the Angels this season.

With Mickey Moniak joining the big league roster after the Angels deal with the Phillies, Thomas became the odd-man out. The 29-year-old is just 1-for-11 (.091) with six strikeouts in his limited action with the big league club this season.

Thomas made it up to the Angels briefly back in early June before bouncing around to the Astros organization and then back to the Angels via waivers. He’ll add depth at all three outfield spots.

He’s back. Thomas was gobbled up off waivers by the Astros just a few weeks ago and returns to Los Angeles after being designated for assignment last week. The 29-year-old outfielder, who will head to Triple-A Salt Lake, has appeared in one game in the majors this season.

They needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Jake Meyers’ return. Thomas was just claimed off waivers earlier this month.

Thomas, 29, went 0-for-2 with a walk before being designated for assignment by the Angels to make room for Davis Daniel. The outfielder provides some depth in the minors, and isn’t likely to make much of an impact.
