He logged just 8.8 minutes across six contests with Washington, and he’ll now look for a new NBA team.

Morris will miss a second consecutive game, and his absence could mean a start for undrafted rookie Jordan Goodwin. Goodwin played well when the Wizards were shorthanded earlier this season, earning consistent rotation minutes. The Wizards recently signed Devon Dotson to a two-way contract, so he may pick up a few minutes off the bench.

The Wizards are banged up at the point guard position, which may factor into the decision to bring Dotson back. He was with the team in training camp on an Exhibit 10 contract, only to be waived just before the start of the regular season. To complete the transaction, the Wizards are waiving Jordan Schakel.

Dotson will help fill out Washington’s roster during training camp, but we won’t be fantasy relevant this season. Even if he makes the final roster, he’ll likely spend most of his time in the G-League.

He’ll give the Bulls some emergency depth at PG but is miles off the fantasy radar.

Donsunmu, Alize Johnson, Devon Dotson, Matt Thomas, and Zach LaVine are all sidelined, making Coby White an attractive short-term option.

Dotson is the 12th Chicago Bull to enter into league protocols. This paves the way even more for the recently signed Mac McClung to get extended minutes.

Matt Thomas wound up earning a roster spot ahead of Johnson, while Tyler Cook and Devon Dotson secured Chicago’s two-way contracts. Johnson is likely bound for the G League.

Just a couple days after it was reported that the Bulls were re-signing Dotson, the team made the move official. This will be his second consecutive season on a two-way deal. And given the moves that Chicago made this offseason, including the signing of Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, Dotson is likely to spend most of the upcoming season with the Windy City Bulls of the G League.

Devon Dotson (ankle) and Patrick Williams (rest, too good for Summer League) didn’t suit up in this one and gave Dosunmu a lot more ball-handling and overall offensive responsibility. He just signed a two-year, $2.8 million deal with the Bulls, so they obviously like what the No. 38 pick in the 2021 draft has in store. The Bulls got suddenly stacked over the summer, however, so sadly we can’t expect Dosunmu to contribute consistently right away.
