Jaguars selected Ole Miss CB Deantre Prince with the No. 153 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Prince (6’0/183) played on 600-plus snaps in each of his last three years at Ole Miss and played 89.9 percent of his snaps on the outside. An aggressive corner who totaled six interceptions and 19 pass breakups, Prince has also made a name for himself showing good effort on run defense. He’s a solid open-field tackler who limited yards after the catch but allowed a touchdown on 7.2 percent of his targets over his final two seasons. While he’s noted for his physicality and ability to fight for the ball, bigger NFL receivers could make life difficult for Prince on the outside due to his smaller frame.

Mississippi sophomore DB Deantre Prince has entered the NCAA transfer portal
Prince (6'1/174) made an impact for the Rebels as a true freshman last season, playing in all 12 games while posting 25 tackles and two interceptions. His stellar play had him in-line to start for Ole Miss this season, but with new HC Lane Kiffin ushering in a new staff Prince felt a change of scenery is in order. 247sports.com insinuates that Prince could elect to transfer to Memphis where former Rebels DC Mike MacIntyre is now employed on staff. Prince was offered scholarships by Georgia, Auburn, Michigan and Notre Dame, so the highly-touted DB would be a huge acquisition for the Tigers if he elects to enroll there.
