Meggett

Meggett isn’t quite the returner that his Pro Bowl father and former Giants star, Dave, was in the 1980s. Rookie Keshawn Martin appears to be the early favorite to take over for Jacoby Jones, though Trindon Holliday and Juaquin Iglesias are also in the mix.

The coaching staff likes Forsett’s special teams ability. That and his experience edge should give him the upper hand on a roster spot unless Meggett proves to be the Texans’ best option as a return specialist.

All seven players ended the season on the Colts practice squad and will be locked into the Indianapolis offseason program. Meggett is the son of former Giants star, Dave. He offers a bit in the kick return game. Harnish will be a camp arm in hopes of landing as the No. 3 quarterback in Indy.

UDFA “C.O.” Prime certainly had the name, but lacked the game. Former Maryland UDFA Meggett couldn’t beat out Kerwynn Williams for a roster spot.

Meggett, 24, spent the 2012 season on Indianapolis’ practice squad, but has never appeared in a regular season game. He’ll compete for a roster spot as a special teams contributor following Vick Ballard’s season-ending torn Achilles’.
