Raiders DT Daniel Muir left Sunday’s Week 11 game at Houston with a knee injury.
Muir had to be carted to the locker room, suggesting a serious injury. The journeyman had eight tackles and one sack in three appearances coming into this one.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
    Raiders signed DT Daniel Muir.
Muir, 30, continues to find a way to hang around the league. He’s been with the Colts, Rams, Colts again, Packers, Jets, Chiefs, Texans, and now Raiders since 2011. Muir is nothing more than veteran depth for the Raiders.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
Colts signed DT Daniel Muir, formerly of the Rams.
Muir was amongst the Rams’ final cuts. He appeared in 36 games for the Colts between 2008 and 2010, notching 93 tackles and 0.5 sacks. He’ll provide depth along a defensive line that lost Eric Foster for the season last Monday and is currently missing Drake Nevis.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
Packers signed DT Daniel Muir, formerly of the Colts.
Muir, 28, goes 6-foot-2, 312 and will likely compete for a roster spot at nose tackle behind B.J. Raji. Muir is a journeyman, No. 5 defensive tackle type.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
Colts waived DT Daniel Muir and CB Prince Miller.
It’s perhaps a sign that rookie Drake Nevis is over his back injury. Once could argue that Muir was outplaying Antonio Johnson and Fili Moala, however. Signed a week ago, Prince Miller didn’t contribute in the return game against the Falcons.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
    Packers released DT Daniel Muir.
It’s a mild surprise considering Mike Neal’s four-game suspension. Phillip Merling now looks like a good bet to stick with the Packers.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
    Jets signed DT Daniel Muir.
Released at final cuts by the Packers, Muir will provide veteran depth along the defensive line with NT Sione Pouha’s back continuing to be an issue. A six-year veteran, Muir is just two years removed from starting 14 games for the Colts.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #73
Chiefs claimed DE Austen Lane off waivers from the Jaguars and released DT Daniel Muir.
A run stopper lacking quick-twitch pass-rush ability, 6-foot-5, 275-pound Lane may prove a better fit for Kansas City’s 3-4 than he was for Jacksonville’s 4-3. He’ll compete for a roster spot. Muir was a backup nose tackle.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
Chiefs signed DT Daniel Muir to a reserve/future contract.
Muir’s signing is the first of new GM John Dorsey’s tenure. Muir played three games with the Jets in 2012 after spending four seasons with the Colts. The 29-year-old will be fighting for a backup job in training camp.
  • FA Defensive Back #43
Texans signed CB Elbert Mack and DT Daniel Muir.
Special teamer Mack worked out for the Texans last month. He appeared in seven games with the Saints in 2012. Muir, 29, played in three games with the Jets last season. Both players are nothing more than veteran depth.
