Coach John Harbaugh acknowledged that the Ravens will add a veteran running back this offseason.
“Anthony Allen goes from third to potentially No. 1 if something happens,” Harbaugh said of the Ravens’ current backfield depth chart. “We think a lot of him, but we’ve got to look at some insurance, too.’' The Ravens have just three running backs under contract, and franchise player Ray Rice has yet to sign his tender. Third-stringer Damien Berry went undrafted in 2011.

Ravens signed RB Damien Berry, WR Patrick Williams, WR Phillip Livas, WR Rodney Bradley, TE Davon Drew, DT Bryan Hall, and C Cecil Newton to reserve/futures contracts.
Undrafted out of Miami (FL) last year, Berry tallied 80 total yards and a touchdown in preseason action with the Ravens. Williams keeps drawing interest, but he never topped 400 yards in a season at Colorado. Newton is Cam’s older brother.

Ravens third-round RB Bernard Pierce “didn’t stand out in the OTAs or minicamps,” according to CSN Baltimore.
Running with the first-team offense, 2011 seventh-rounder Anthony Allen “had some nice moments” while “everyone from the coaches to Joe Flacco have done nothing but praise him.” Damien Barry, who spent last season on the practice squad, “did as much as any player to improve himself,” adding quickness and strength. We don’t advise placing too much stock in OTAs, but it’s far from guaranteed that Pierce will enter the season Ray Rice’s “handcuff.”

Ravens RB Damien Berry was arrested Tuesday night for failure to appear in court.
Berry was pulled over in January, and he was charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license. He was released on Wednesday on his own recognizance, and Berry now has a court date set for October 10. It’s not a major charge, but any bad news for a bottom-of-the-roster player isn’t good.

Ex-Ravens RB Damien Berry was arrested for writing a bad check and auto theft last week in Maryland.
The 26-year-old former UDFA out of Miami faces charges for allegedly writing a bad check for $106,024 in order to “purchase” a 2015 Range Rover. He’s also being charged with unlawful taking of a vehicle and unauthorized removal of property. Berry never appeared in a regular season game and was last in the league in the 2013 preseason. It’s not the first time he’s been in trouble.

    Ravens waived RB Damien Berry.
“Looks like I’m going to be on the practice squad,” Berry told Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. Berry is someone to keep an eye on in deep Dynasty leagues. The former Miami (FL) star had 80 total yards and a TD in preseason.

Ravens agreed to terms with former Miami (FL) RB Damien Berry.
The NFL moved up the period for teams to negotiate with undrafted rookies, although Berry can’t officially sign until Tuesday. Berry is a 5-foot-11, 211-pound one-cut back who fell out of the draft due to a 4.63 forty at the Combine. He’ll push for a roster spot behind Ray Rice, Jalen Parmele, and Anthony Allen.
