Bills worked out CB Quinton Dunbar on Tuesday.
The Bills are looking for help in the secondary, as they also worked out DB Damarious Randall on Tuesday. Dunbar spent the offseason with the Lions after signing in April, but he was released once Detroit signed Nickell Robey-Coleman in mid-August. It’s worth monitoring whether the Bills add a defensive back – Dunbar, Randall, or someone else – in the near future.

  • FA Defensive Back #30
Seahawks re-signed CB Damarious Randall to a one-year, $1.1 million contract.
And declared him as such after he was used as a safety last year. Randall, 29 in August, was primarily deployed on special teams and occasionally off the bench as a backup safety in specialty packages in 2020 but will become the team’s No. 4/5 corner this year.

  • FA Defensive Back #30
    Raiders released S Damarious Randall.
Signed in April, Randall was guaranteed $1.5 million from the Raiders despite failing to make it through camp. A former first-rounder who totaled 61 tackles and a career-high 2.5 sacks in his final year with the Browns, Randall is still likely to sign elsewhere as a potential starter before the weekend comes to a close. The 28-year-old has 14 interceptions across five seasons.

  • FA Defensive Back #30
Raiders signed S Damarious Randall, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year contract.
The ex-Packers first-rounder fell out of favor in Cleveland last season, getting benched for a “coach’s decision” in Week 13. He did return to start Weeks 14-17. Randall’s Vegas signing comes the same day the Raiders backed out of an agreement with CB Eli Apple. Randall should immediately slide in as a starter opposite Johnathan Abram. Capable of playing most any role at the back end of the secondary, Randall has 14 interceptions in five years, though zero of them came last season. It’s a nice addition for Vegas.

  • FA Defensive Back #30
Free agent Damarious Randall isn’t expected to re-sign with the Browns.
Randall was never going to return under Freddie Kitchens, but the new coaching staff is also expected to move on. After playing a deep safety role under Gregg Williams in 2018, Randall played all over the field last year and should resurface as a low-end starter. There have been rumors Randall could join Landon Collins in Washington.

  • FA Defensive Back #30
Browns declared S Damarious Randall, WR Taywan Taylor, S Eric Murray, DE Chris Smith, OT Greg Robinson, OG Drew Forbes, and TE Pharaoh Brown inactive for Week 13 against Steelers.
Reserve Justin McCray will make his fourth start of the year at left tackle in place of Robinson (concussion). Randall remains out for an undisclosed reason.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Browns S Damarious Randall will miss Week 13 because of a “coaching decision”.
Randall is not even traveling with the team for this rivalry game. It’s unclear what is going on behind the scenes, so it’s impossible to know if this a one-week ordeal or something more serious. Luckily for the Browns, Devlin Hodges shouldn’t put too much pressure on the secondary.
  • Tight End #48
Browns declared TE Ricky Seals-Jones, WR Antonio Callaway, CB Robert Jackson, OT T Kendall Lamm, S Eric Murray, WR Taywan Taylor and DE Olivier Vernon inactive for Week 10 against the Bills.
Seals-Jones (knee) wasn’t able to practice this week. Without him, the Browns will turn to Demetrius Harris and Stephen Carlson at tight end. S Damarious Randall (hamstring) is back following a two-game absence.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Browns S Damarious Randall (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Bills.
Randall’s continued absence would be good news for the entire Bills’ passing game, specifically their rookie TE. Dawson Knox has just three targets over the past two weeks, but his 76% snap rate in Week 9 was a step in the right direction after the rookie TE posted pedestrian 53% and 45% rates in Weeks 7 and 8, respectively. Tyler Kroft accordingly posted a season-low 26% snap rate last week, making Knox a near every-down TE once again. Treat him as an upside TE2 against a Browns Defense that has allowed big days to Delanie Walker (5-55-2), Mark Andrews (4-31-1), George Kittle (6-70-1) and Noah Fant (3-115-1) this season.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Browns declared S Damarious Randall, WR Taywan Taylor, WR Damion Ratley, S Eric Murray, CB Robert Jackson, T Kendall Lamm and TE Pharaoh Brown inactive for Week 9 against the Broncos.
With Greg Robinson available at left tackle, Wyatt Teller will slide over and replace Eric Kush at right guard. Jermaine Whitehead will also start in place of Randall.
