Titans signed No. 248 overall pick S Daimion Stafford to a four-year contract.
Stafford made 26 starts at Nebraska, and led the Huskers with four interceptions as a senior. He’s a limited athlete and projects to a special teams role with the Titans.

Titans selected Nebraska S Daimion Stafford with the No. 248 overall pick.
Stafford (5-foot-11 5/8, 221) made 26 starts at Nebraska, leading the Huskers in interceptions (4) as a senior and finishing second in tackles (96). Stafford added four tackles for loss. Limited athletically with a 4.69 forty and 30.5-inch vertical, Stafford is headed for special teams in Nashville.

The Titans are getting S Daimion Stafford reps with the first-team defense.
Stafford is reportedly having a better training camp than Da’Norris Searcy. ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky thinks he could open the year as a starter. Stafford is solid against the run, but wouldn’t be much of an upgrade over Searcy. Even if he starts, his cover skills should limit him to base downs.

Steelers signed S Daimion Stafford and LS Kameron Canaday.
P A.J. Hughes was waived in a corresponding move. Stafford was solid in 614 defensive snaps for the Titans last season. He is a good signing at this point in the offseason.

The Titans are “expecting more” out of second-year S Daimion Stafford.
“He is a very gifted, talented, athletic player,” said DBs coach Louie Cioffi. “So we expect him to grow and be as productive as he was on special teams last year in a defensive role.” Stafford played just 13 defensive snaps as a rookie and made six tackles on special teams. He’s currently the team’s No. 4 safety.
