Raiders waived CB Coye Francies and LB Travis Goethel.
Francies, 26, appeared in 15 games for the Raiders last season, registering just three tackles mainly as a special teamer. Goethel is best known for his horrendous long snap attempts in a Monday Night Football game last year.

Raiders claimed DB Coye Francies off waivers from the Seahawks.
A sixth-round pick by the Browns in 2009, Francies saw action in eight games over two seasons before falling out of the league last year.

    Raiders waived DB Coye Francies.
Francies was just claimed off waivers a week ago, but has been cut loose to clear room for Derek Hagan. Francies has appeared in just eight career games, zero of which came in 2011.

Raiders MLB Rolando McClain (concussion) and CB/KR Coye Francies (concussion) have resumed practicing.
It’s not known yet if the players have been fully cleared as part of the league’s concussion protocol, but it’s obviously a good sign that they’re on the field again.

Raiders signed CB Coye Francies and LS Nick Guess off the team’s practice squad.
The moves were made after the Raiders placed WR Jacoby Ford (foot) and CB Ronald Bartell (shoulder) on injured reserve on Saturday. Francies was claimed off waivers from the Seahawks in late August and was then signed to the practice squad last week. Guess gets the call after long snapper Jon Condo suffered a concussion in Week 1.

Raiders re-signed exclusive rights free agent DB Coye Francies.
26-year-old Francies recorded four tackles on special teams last season. The Raiders’ secondary is in such shambles that we wouldn’t rule out Francies’ role growing on defense in 2013. He’s a former sixth-rounder from San Jose State.

    Seahawks waived CB Coye Francies.
A sixth-round pick in 2009, Francies has appeared in just eight career games, and only two since his rookie season.
  • FA Defensive Back #31
Browns signed sixth-round CB Coye Francies to a four-year contract.
Francies was bookended by Chris Owens, Atlanta’s third-round pick, at San Jose State, where they both played behind Bears third-round DT Jarron Gilbert. Francies was arguably the team’s top cover corner, but fell in the draft due to a 2007 gun arrest. He does have the talent to stick at this level.

Browns CB Eric Wright left Sunday’s game against the Bears with an apparent upper body injury.
Wright and S Brodney Pool hit each other on a Jay Cutler completion to rookie receiver Johnny Knox. Wright is easily the team’s best corner. He was replaced by Coye Francies.
