Hankton

Hankton has the same role with LSU that Joe Brady had, and previously led Georgia to first in the SEC in yards per passing attempt as passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Hankton is 41 years old and is a former NFL wide receiver who played primarily for the Jaguars. Sean McVay has seen numerous assistants poached by NFL teams over the past few seasons, so it would make sense to bring in some outside coaching talent.

The emergence of Ernest Wilford has made Hankton a game-day inactive the last two weeks.

It’s terrible timing, as Hankton is a candidate to be released in Jacksonville’s crowded receiver group.

No surprises here. Hankton’s inactivity means Ernest Wilford could see some time at receiver again this week.

Fu-Ma is the third RB and backup fullback. Green’s inactive is pretty surprising.

As the team’s No. 6 receiver, Hankton is mostly a special teams force. ''It’s a simple procedure to allow him to get back in a few weeks without the continuing pain,’' coach Jack Del Rio said.

Hankton has yet to make his 2005 debut. He could eventually challenge for kickoff return duties.

Rashean Mathis will start despite a groin injury, as expected. Rookie tackle Khalif Barnes is a coaches decision inactive.

Hankton had ankle surgery last week and has no timetable for his return.

Hankton was been out all three games now. He could eventually make an impact on special teams, but has minimal Fantasy value.
