There’s conflicting information coming out of the Pullman, WA-area regarding the one-car accident that injured Washington State defensive end Cory Mackay early yesterday evening.Initial reports had the redshirt freshman lineman in stable condition following the wreck. However, the Seattle Times is now reporting that Mackay, citing a nursing supervisor at the Seattle medical facility where the DL is hospitalized, is in serious condition.Additionally, The Times reports, Mackay’s father -- as relayed by a State Police supervisor -- said his son had suffered a broken back in the accident, but hasn’t suffered a spinal cord injury.Per the same supervisor, an officer on the scene reported that Mackay had initially indicated he had lost feeling below his waist.It’s unclear at this time the actual extent of Mackay’s injuries.
