UCF corner Josh Robinson answers the NFL call

The silence on a relatively quiet day on the declaration front has officially been broken.

In a press release, UCF announced that junior cornerback Josh Robinson has decided to leave a year of eligibility on the table and make himself available for the April NFL draft.

“I’ve been in discussions with the Robinson family over the holidays, and after I met with them Saturday regarding the pros and cons of entering the draft as well as staying in school, the family decided that he wanted to declare for the draft,” said head coach George O’Leary in a statement. “I wish him well in his future endeavors in the NFL and I hope everything works out for Josh and his family.”

Robinson has been a first-team All-Conference USA corner the past two seasons, and is probably most notable for being largely responsible for holding A.J. Green to just 77 yards receiving on eight catches in UCF’s bowl win over Georgia following the 2010 season. This past season, Robinson tied for the team lead in tackles with two and finished fourth in tackles with 48.
