Texas Tech makes it official with OC Neal Brown

As Keith Arnold made you aware of Tuesday morning, Neal Brown will be Texas Tech’s new offensive coordinator. Red Raiders head coach Tommy Tuberville officially made the announcement on Tuesday.

A blooming offensive wizard, the 29-year-old Brown engineered the Troy Trojans’ No. 3 nationally-ranked offense in 2009. He’s been the youngest coordinator in all of FBS for the last two seasons. As he did at Troy, Brown will also hold the title of quarterbacks coach in Lubbock.

Brown runs an up-tempo, no-huddle heavy offense, so the transition should be smooth for Mike Leach’s leftovers (e.g. QBs Taylor Potts and Steven Sheffield, RB Baron Batch, and WRs Alexander Torres and Detron Lewis).
