TCU’s new uniforms go head to toe in frog skin

If there is one thing you can say about the uniforms TCU will wear in 2015, they are all in on the frog skin design. The new uniforms unveiled by the team Friday night at the spring game showed three different main designs by TCU uniform partner Nike. The home uniforms -- a purple uniform and an alternate gray look -- go head to toe in a frog skin pattern.

It’s... interesting.

Of course, TCU will be likely to mix and match different uniform combinations throughout the season as well.

TCU started putting a frog skin touch to the uniforms a few years ago under Nike’s Pro Combat series of uniforms. It was used as a design element on the helmets, which looked fantastic. Now the tadpole that was the helmet design has grown legs and expanded to the uniform itself. It might be going a little too far, because it now just looks like TCU is suiting up in fatigues.
