Syracuse the landing spot for ex-Maryland WR Amba Etta-Tawo

From a former ACC school to a current one, Amba Etta-Tawo will continue and presumably end his college football playing career in that conference.

Speaking to Scout.com, Etta-Tawo confirmed that he has decided to transfer into the Syracuse football program. Earlier this month, Etta-Tawo announced on Twitter that he had decided to leave Maryland and transfer elsewhere.

Etta-Tawo comes to the Orange as a graduate transfer, which, of course, means the wide receiver will be eligible to play for the ACC program in 2016.

“Signed and fired up about the season,” Etta-Tawo told the recruiting website. “Good environment, good genuine coaching staff and a great opportunity.”

What first-year ‘Cuse head coach Dino Babers will be getting is a very experienced piece for his offensive puzzle.

Of the 36 career games in which Etta-Tawo played for the Terps, he started 14 of those contests. In that action spread over the last three seasons, Etta-Tawo caught 61 passes for 938 yards and three touchdowns. His best season came in 2013 as the stat line for the Georgia high schooler by way of the country of Oman read 31-500-2 as a redshirt freshman.

Last season, it was 20-216 for the 6-0, 200-pound receiver.
