Given how the Cam Newton situation/scandal/imbroglio has mushroomed into something both surreal and larger than life, you just knew it was going to happen. There was never really any doubt that, at some point -- probably sooner rather than later -- it would be done.
And it has indeed been done. The “it”, of course, being the ever-popular song parody -- by a dude in a floppy, oversized purple pimp/cowboy hat, no less -- encapsulating the entire Newton issue in a mere 178 seconds.
So, sit back, relax and enjoy the dulcet tones of a singer/songwriter who -- apparently willingly and not under the threat of violence -- goes by the name Moon Pie and does a very favorable remake of a Dusty Springfield classic. Unless you happen to be directly involved in the situation, of course.
