SAM BRADFORD WINS THE HEISMAN TROPHY

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford has won the 2008 Heisman Trophy.Bradford received the award for a season in which his statistics were out of this world: He completed 302 of 442 passes for 4,464 yards, with 48 touchdowns (most in Division I-A football this year) and six interceptions. With Bradford at the helm, Oklahoma scored 60 or more points in five straight games, the first time in the history of college football that any team has done so. He was the most important player for the Sooners, who will play Florida for the national championship.Bradford beat out Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and last year’s winner, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.
