New uniforms for both Miami and Tennessee have been unveiled of late, and they really weren’t that bad. At all. These? Not so much in this hey, you kids, get off my lawn!
Thursday morning, uniform supplier adidas unveiled what’s being described as the new alternate uniforms -- technically, “Husker Bold” -- for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team that will be worn for the Oct. 24 game against Northwestern this year. In a tweet posted to its Twitter account a short time ago, adidas Football US describes the new duds as “a tribute to history” and “a future advantage.”
I don’t know about the latter, but there’s nothing in this uniform set that screams “iconic Cornusker football unis” or anything, other than the block “N” on the helmet, that pays tribute to the rich history of the football program.

Anyway, this is for the kids currently playing and the future recruits NU hopes to sign, at least in part, because of them. Hope they enjoy. Now, again, get off my lawn...
