MORE DETAILS EMERGE IN HORNSBY ARREST

While we reported earlier on the arrest of Jamar Hornsby, more details about the incident are emerging as the day rolls on. Here’s an especially wonderful blurb from David Brandt, who is covering the incident for The Jackson Clarion Ledger:The complaint filed said Hornsby did “unlawfully and willfully, purposely, knowingly and feloniously cause bodily injury to Benjamin Jenkins with brass knuckles, a deadly weapon by hitting him repeatedly in the head area causing injuries, to wit, a fractured nose, busted lips, swollen jaw, scrapes and cuts.” The incident actually occured at a McDonald’s in Starkville. His bond for that charge was $15,000. Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt released a statement today that said that he’s gathering all the facts before deciding Hornsby’s fate. “We’re looking into the matter and trying to gather all the facts,” Nutt said. “Once the facts are in, we will make a decision.”
