Unfortunately for both K’Lavon Chaisson and LSU, their worst fears have been realized.
Chaisson went down in the fourth quarter of LSU’s win over Miami Sunday night with an unspecified injury to his left leg. It was thought at the time that the injury could potentially be significant; Tuesday, Ed Orgeron confirmed as much, announcing that the outside linebacker/edge rusher will miss the remainder of the season because of a knee injury.
The head coach didn’t detail the specific nature of the injury, although it’s believed to be of the non-contact variety.

Chaisson played in 12 games as a true freshman in 2017, starting three of those contests. Prior to the injury, Chaisson was expected to replace the production lost when Arden Key left the Tigers early for the NFL.
