GOPHER COORDINATOR SEARCH AT AN END?

Finally, our long national nightmare is over.Maybe.According to a report in this morning’s Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Minnesota Golden Gophers could name Jedd Fisch as their new offensive coordinator at some point today. Fisch spent last season as the Denver Broncos wide receivers coach.Fisch, the paper said, was offered the job yesterday and could accept the offer as early as this morning. If Fisch is hired, it would end a strange search that has taken in excess of two weeks. No less than four reports during that time had various candidates for the position turning down a job offer from the school.
