Panthers signed Oklahoma C Andrew Raym.
Andrew Raym Raym (6'4/314) was rated as a four-star HS prospect and the top guard from the 2020 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. The three-time all-conference honoree made 29 starts at center for the Sooners in his career, all while playing through a bevy of assorted injuries. Raym was a favorite amongst analysts at the Senior Bowl, showing off an easygoing and humorous personality. This demeanor translates to the field as he is an active blocker with an aggressive drive to seek out contact. Raym’s primary strength is in his fundamental approach to the game. However, he will need to be absolutely perfect in that aspect at the next level to compete with the superior athletes in the NFL. Raym looks like a stereotypical center, with a wide base and squat build and a high football IQ to boot. Raym has a shot at sticking with the Panthers as a backup if he shows well in camp.

Rivals’ Mike Farrell writes that Oklahoma four-star 2020 G Andrew Raym is “still raw but he has excellent upside.”
Farrell likes the fit between player and team, believing that the Sooners staff will be able to cook out the more raw aspects of Raym’s game one he joins the program next year. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, threw in with the home state program over fellow finalists Michigan and Georgia earlier this month. He plays like a small-space pugilist, one who has the strength to erase players who are not his physical equal. Rivals ranks Raym as the No. 239 overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Oklahoma received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 G Andrew Raym.
Raym (6'5/285) picked Oklahoma over Michigan and Georgia, giving the Sooners three offensive line commits in the 2020 class to date. The rising senior at Broken Arrow HS (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) is considered to be one of the top guards in this class, with 247Sports ranking him first in its rankings and third in the composite rankings). “On the field, Raym has proven to be a devastating run-game mauler who arrives with a purpose at the point of attack,” 247Sports recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks wrote in his evaluation. “He packs a big punch at the line of scrimmage and when hunting at the second level. Raym is a phone-booth monster who overwhelms many of the one-on-one targets he faces with his size and strength.” Brooks also noted that Broken Arrow’s offensive scheme is run-oriented, so Raym hasn’t had as much experience in pass protection.

Oklahoma four-star 2020 G Andrew Raym has been selected to play in the Under Armour All America game.
Raym (6'5/285) is ranked by Rivals as the top 2020 OL prospect in the state of Oklahoma and 9th best overall G prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He originally signed with his home-state school Oklahoma back on July 10th and only took an official visit to one other school, Arkansas. HC Lincoln Riley made sure to keep his house in order by signing the local boy Raym, who will get to suit up in the All-America game before heading to OU in the fall.

Uncommitted four-star 2020 G Andrew Raym does not plan on taking visits until June.
Raym (6'4/285) plays baseball at Broken Arrow High in Oklahoma and does not plan on putting any more on his plate than he already has on there. Come June, it’ll be time to kick into gear. The offensive line prospect told Rivals that Georgia, LSU and Michigan are all programs he is hoping to pay unofficial visits to this summer (he is saving his officials for the fall). This past season, Raym took in game day trips to Arkansas, LSU and Oklahoma. Rivals ranks him as the No. 226 overall prospect in the 2020 class.
