Game of the Day: No. 23 Northern Iowa at Evansville, 8:00 p.m.
The Panthers will kick off the Missouri Valley season by heading down to Evansville and taking on the Purple Aces. Northern Iowa looks like they’ll be good enough to challenge Wichita State for the league title this season, but Evansville is no pushover. They have one of the best players in the conference in D.J. Balentine on the roster.
Three Things to Watch For:
1. BYU at Santa Clara, 5:00 p.m.: The Cougars look to bounce back from a tough loss to Gonzaga at home last week.
2. St. Mary’s at Pepperdine, 8:00 p.m.: The Gaels had an up-and-down non-conference portion of the schedule. If they’re going to make the NCAA tournament, they’ll need a strong WCC run.
3. Weber State at Eastern Washington, 5:00 p.m.: A passing of the torch in the Big Sky?
