One of the best parts about covering the NCAA tournament is that the NCAA brings in the stenographers from ASAP Sports to transcribe the press conferences. This does two things: 1. It allows the media to have access to the press conference quotes if they need to go and talk to someone else, and 2. It means that we don’t have to transcribe the press conference ourselves.

On Saturday, when the Badgers took part in their off-day press conference, sophomore forward Nigel Hayes took it upon himself to try and test the stenographer’s ability ... by saying things like “cattywampus” and “xzylophone":
