Most of us will have the liquid courage to wear an ugly Christmas sweater this holiday season at either an office or family party.
None of us would willingly go on national television in such attire. Oakland head coach Greg Kampe is the exception. Hell, he even teased us on Twitter leading up to Tuesday night’s non-conference contest with the Huskies.
Got my Ugly sweater for Tuesday Night. It is UGLY. Is there a prize for the ugliest? I think we need to get a group picture after game

During Tuesday night’s 61-59 buzzer-beating loss to Northeastern, Kampe donned one of the ugliest Christmas garments I’ve ever seen: a double-sided, reindeer sweater. Thankfully, the Rudolph-inspired sweater didn’t last past midway through the first half. But it was a nice gesture by the head coach on Ugly Sweater Night at the Athletics Center O’rena.

Kampe and the Golden Grizzlies are 9-2 on the season, following the loss to Northeastern. They are back in action on Wednesday against Michigan State.
