Saturday evening Memphis held its annual “Memphis Madness” event at the FedEx Forum, and there were a variety of events to keep the fans entertained. Amongst those activities were a Wingstop wing-eating contest (won by CBSSports.com college basketball writer Gary Parrish), a chance to meet both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, a shooting stars competition that featured head coach Josh Pastner coming out of retirement (unfortunately his team didn’t win) and musical guest Rick Ross.
There was also a dunk competition, which was won by Southwest Tennessee CC transfer Chris Hawkins. His contest-winning dunk was quite impressive, and it can be seen below.
