    Washington released WR Cody Latimer.
With five criminal charges and three felonies against him stemming from an incident in May, it’s peculiar Latimer wasn’t released sooner. Losing Latimer isn’t exactly a loss from the Washington offense.

  • FA Wide Receiver #12
The Washington Post’s Mark Maske reports Washington WR Cody Latimer was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List.
This decision stems from his charges of assault in the second degree, menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of a weapon, and reckless endangerment in Englewood, Colorado from May. His place on Washington’s roster remains in doubt.

Redskins WR Cody Latimer was taken into custody in Douglas County, Colorado on Saturday.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Zenith Meridian Apartments in Englewood, CO on a call of shots fired indoors. Latimer was taken into custody on charges of assault in the second degree, menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. He’s currently being held on a $25,000 bond. Given the charges, his place on Washington’s roster is in doubt.

  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Redskins signed WR Cody Latimer, formerly of the Giants.
Latimer has been an end of the active roster receiver throughout his six-year NFL career. With the Giants falling victim to injuries last year, Latimer started 10 games and compiled a career-high 300 receiving yards on a 7.1 YPT average. The Redskins receiver room is completely open behind Terry McLaurin, so it’s possible Latimer makes starts in 2020. Expect him to compete with rookies and other fringe-starter talent this offseason.

  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Cody Latimer caught 1-of-3 targets for 43 yards in the Giants’ Week 13 loss to the Packers.
Latimer got loose for a big gain deep down the middle on a b-e-a-utiful dime from Daniel Jones. He was otherwise quiet. Latimer will go back to the bench once Golden Tate (concussion) returns. Even if Tate remains sidelined, Latimer isn’t a realistic fantasy option as the offense’s clear-cut No. 3 WR behind Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton.
  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Cody Latimer caught 2-of-3 targets for eight yards and one touchdown in the Giants’ Week 9 loss to the Cowboys.
With Sterling Shepard (concussion) still out, Latimer is handling No. 3 duties. He cashed in with a one-yard touchdown on third down after Saquon Barkley was stuffed on first down. He doesn’t belong anywhere near fantasy rosters.
  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Cody Latimer (concussion) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Latimer missed Week 3 after getting concussed the previous game. With Golden Tate coming off suspension in Week 5, Latimer will soon be headed back to a bench role behind Sterling Shepard, Tate, and Darius Slayton.
  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Giants declared WR Cody Latimer, QB Alex Tanney, CB Julian Love, G Chad Slade, OT Eric Smith, TE Kaden Smith, and TE Garrett Dickerson inactive for Week 3 against the Bucs.
Sterling Shepard is officially available in No. 6 overall pick Daniel Jones’ first career start. Bennie Fowler, Russell Shepard, and T.J. Jones round out the rest of New York’s receiving corps.
  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Cody Latimer (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 3.
Latimer remains in the concussion protocol after he couldn’t get cleared to practice this week. It’s a downgrade to an already thin receiver depth chart, but the Giants will get Sterling Shepard back for Daniel Jones’s first start.
  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Cody Latimer (concussion) is not practicing Wednesday.
Sterling Shepard is making progress from his concussion and could rejoin the lineup for Week 3 against the Bucs. Latimer is looking like a long shot after getting concussed Sunday against the Bills.
