Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable declared for the NFL Draft.
Marable (5'10/190) had a incredible run as a three-year starter for the Chanticleers, amassing 2,691 rushing yards, 5.5 YPC and 29 touchdowns along with 84 receptions for 703 yards and seven touchdowns in the air. The all-purpose weapon teamed up with QB Grayson McCall to form a devastating backfield combo. Though undersized, Marable could carve out a niche as a third down back that also can return kicks. The senior tailback projects as a Day 3 selection.

Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable carried 20 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-38 victory over Troy on Saturday.
Marable (5'10/190) capped off an impressive regular season campaign with his third straight 100-yard game, as CCU pulled out their second heart-stopping fourth quarter victory in a row against Troy. It was a dominant all-purpose performance, as the senior tailback also caught three passes for 47 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown reception on a well-designed RPO where the QB McCall feigned an inside run only to pull the ball down and hit a streaking Marable right up the seam for the score. The veteran ball carrier will be heavily relied upon again next week when CCU takes on Louisiana in the SBC Championship game.

Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable carried 23 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns in a 22-17 victory over BYU this Saturday.
Marable (5'10/190) was the driving force of the Chanticleers offense, averaging 5.7 yards per carry behind a punishing offensive line that rolled up 281 rushing yards on a solid BYU front-seven. He had a long rush of 20 yards while punching in red zone touchdowns from six and two yards out. The senior was instrumental in keeping the chains moving and allowing the CCU offense to control the clock for 37:51 of game time. It was a true workhorse performance from the rugged bell cow tailback. Marable will try to post his third straight 100-yard game next week against Troy.

  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries in Saturday’s 49-14 win over Texas State.
Marable (5'10/190) rumbled for 9.8 YPC, with a high of 42. With the game easily in hand, Marable was given the entire fourth quarter off. Even in three quarters, this was easily Marable’s best showing of the year, the first game in which he’s topped 75 yards on the ground. With an enormous matchup against Liberty on deck, the undefeated Chanticleers got exactly what they wanted out of their trip to San Marcos, a win at margin that allowed them to put a number of starters on ice early.

Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable rushed 17 times for 73 yards and a touchdown in a 30-27 victory over Louisiana on Wednesday.
Marable (5'10/190) had a big impact in the first-half as he kicked off the scoring for CCU by punching in a one-yard touchdown in the first-quarter. The senior captain then caught a 13-yard post in which he took a hard shot from the converging free safety but still managed to hold onto the ball and bounce into the end zone. He finished with three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown in the air. Marable will look to keep his sensational season rolling next Saturday against Georgia Southern.

  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and caught four passes for 25 yards and another score in Saturday’s 52-23 win over Arkansas State.
One of the top running backs in the Sun Belt, Marable’s full skill set was on display in Saturday’s romp over the Red Wolves. In addition to reaching the end zone via the ground game for the second consecutive game, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior running back also registered his first touchdown reception of the season. Marable wasn’t much of a threat in the passing game in CCU’s wins over Kansas and Campbell, but Saturday’s output could be a step in the right direction as far as that is concerned. Next up for Marable and the Chanticleers is an October 10 game at Louisiana.

  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable earned 11 carries for 54 yards and two touchdowns in addition to one catch for four yards in Friday night’s 43-21 win over Campbell.
Marable didn’t earn too many carries on Friday, but he earned ‘em where it counted. Though he earned just 11 carries, Marable (5'10/190) punched in touchdowns from two yards out and nine yards out, proving himself as Coastal Carolina’s go-to back. Save for quarterback Grayson McCall, Marable was the only player to score twice for the Chanticleers on Friday. After not scoring at all in the seasoning opener, a pair of touchdowns had to feel great for Marable in a win over Campbell.

  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina senior RB CJ Marable rushed 21 times for 75 yards in a 38-23 victory over Kansas Saturday.
Marable (5'10/190) didn’t score a touchdown but was still instrumental in CCU’s upset victory by running hard between the tackles and keeping the chains moving. CCU QB McCall and Marable used their RPO game plan to keep Kansas off-balance while combining for 33 carries and 148 yards. This allowed CCU to utilize play-action and hook-up with TE Isaiah Likely and WR Jaivon Heiligh for touchdowns. CCU will look to start 2-0 when they face Campbell next week.

  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina junior RB CJ Marable carried the ball 25 times and picked up 121 yards with a touchdown in a 24-21 win on Saturday over Texas State.
Marable put the Chanticleers out in front 24-14 with a three-yard plunge with just-over four minutes left in the game, and it effectively put the game out of reach. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound tailback finishes the year with over 1,000 yards, and he also scored 11 touchdowns. Marable should be one of -- if not the -- best tailbacks in the Sun Belt next year; with the assumption being that he doesn’t enter the draft.
  • Running Back #37
Coastal Carolina junior RB CJ Marable rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in Saturday’s 45-42 loss at ULM.
Marable (5'10/190), whose 75-yard run at the halfway point of the fourth quarter gave Coastal a 42-38 lead, surpassed the 100-yard mark for the second time in as many weeks Saturday. The junior running back is now 36 yards away from the thousand-yard mark for the season, a number he should reach in next weekend’s season finale vs. Texas State. Marable is averaging a respectable 5.4 yards per carry in 2019.
