The Raiders are putting together a “very lucrative” multi-year contract for DE Chris Clemons.
Clemons led the team with eight sacks last season, despite starting only two games. Hopefully the Raiders aren’t planning to rely on him as a starter because at only 6'3/240, it’s unlikely he’d help their awful run defense.

The Eagles are in pursuit of free agent DE/OLB Chris Clemons.
Clemons would be a situational pass rusher if he landed with Philadelphia. The Birds seem currently to be focusing their efforts on Asante Samuel.

Free agent DE Chris Clemons visited with the Eagles Friday, as expected.
They’re the only team currently pursuing the 26-year-old situational rusher.

Redskins LB Chris Clemons sprained his MCL Sunday night.
Clemons, primarily a special teams player, had his leg braced before departing in the first quarter. He did not return to the game.

The Redskins have moved Chris Clemons to backup strong-side linebacker.
He’ll play behind Marcus Washington, ending any small chance for IDP value on the weak-side.

Redskins waived LB Chris Clemons and S Ben Emanuel with injury settlements.
Clemons only had a sprained MCL, but is making room for Jeff Posey.

DE Chris Clemons’ three-sack game in Sunday’s rout of the Rams was the first by a Seahawk since 2007.
Lined up against third-string left tackle Kevin Hughes, Clemons was also able to force two fumbles in a monster IDP performance. With Redskins LT Trent Williams looking doubtful for Week 12 with a knee injury, Clemons should have another favorable matchup lined up.

Seahawks RE Chris Clemons was a no-show for mandatory minicamp Tuesday.
He’s subject to $60,000 in fines if he skips all three days. Clemons wants a new contract, but lost some leverage when Seattle drafted his heir apparent in Bruce Irvin. Clemons is due $4.5 million in a contract year. “I thought he was coming,” coach Pete Carroll said. “It doesn’t look like he’s going to show up.”

ESPN 710 Seattle’s Brock Huard believes Seahawks DE Chris Clemons’ absence from OTAs is an “abundantly clear” sign that his agent is seeking a new contract.
Clemons, turning 31 in October, is due $4.5 million in the final year of his contract. Coming off back-to-back career-highs of 11 sacks in each of his first two seasons in Pete Carroll’s defense, Clemons is likely seeking one last big-money contract. ESPN’s John Clayton suggests a 2-3 year deal worth $6-7 million per would be a good compromise.

ESPN’s John Clayton confirms the Seahawks are working on a contract extension with RE Chris Clemons.
Clemons has skipped the entire offseason, incurring a $63,000 fine for sitting out this week’s mandatory minicamp. He can make up that money, of course, by landing a new deal this summer. Due to earn $4.5 million in the final year of his contract, the 30-year-old has earned a new payday with back-to-back career-highs of 11 sacks in Pete Carroll’s “elephant” position the past two seasons.
