Cassius Stanley has signed a third 10-day deal with the Detroit Pistons.
Aside from his lone spot start, Stanley’s minutes and production have been relatively inconsistent. However, on a tanking team like the Pistons, he could earn himself an opportunity down the stretch, as they seem intent on keeping him around. However, for now, he’s not providing much fantasy value.

Killian Hayes (health and safety protocols) is not listed on the Pistons’ injury report ahead of Monday’s game against the Bucks.
Hayes, who landed in the league’s health and safety protocols on December 23, appears set to make his return to game action. How much he’ll play, and whether or not the Pistons have put a minutes limit in place, has not been disclosed by the team. But Hayes should start, which is likely to mean a return to the bench for Cassius Stanley. Stanley wasn’t a pickup when the Pistons were shorthanded, so he should already be on all waiver wires.

Making the first start of his NBA career, Cassius Stanley finished Saturday’s 117-116 win over the Spurs with 19 points (6-of-8 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, one block, and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
With Frank Jackson (ankle) ruled out, Stanley was thrust into the starting lineup Saturday night. And he rewarded the few who rolled the dice on the second-year guard out of Duke, posting an efficient stat line and playing 36 minutes. Many of the Pistons who were sidelined for Saturday’s game were out due to conditioning, so it’s only a matter of time until that rotation fills back up. Stanley had a very good night in his first start, but it’s too late to stream him in most leagues.

Cassius Stanley, Derrick Walton, Hamidou Diallo, Saddiq Bey, and Luka Garza will all start vs. the Spurs Sunday night.
The Pistons have been decimated with injuries, as they have 13 players unavailable. Stanley will make his first career start Saturday with Frank Jackson (ankle) sidelined. With so many players out, Saddiq Bey and Hamidou Diallo will both be relied upon heavily to carry the load offensively.

Cassius Stanley started the second half after Frank Jackson left with a leg injury in the first half on Wednesday.
Stanley’s on a 10-day deal with the Pistons and hit just 2-of-10 shots tonight for four points, four rebounds and four steals. Just keep an eye on him in case he sticks in the starting lineup.

  • FA Point Guard #25
The Pistons have waived Derrick Walton Jr., Jared Cunningham and Cassius Stanley.
None of these guys suited up for the Pistons during the preseason, but they will be eligible to sign a deal with Detroit’s G League affiliate.

Cassius Stanley was waived by the Pistons on Saturday.
Stanley was picked by the Pacers in the second round of the 2020 draft and played just under four minutes per game in 24 games in that year. This won’t affect the Pistons or your fantasy league in any way.

Cassius Stanley (right knee soreness) will miss Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Stanley, who the Pistons inked to a training camp deal this summer, will miss out on at least one opportunity to show his new coaches what he can do. In theory, Detroit’s roster is one that a player could potentially crack given the team’s youth. But even if Stanley does succeed in earning a roster spot, it will be a steep climb to fantasy relevance, regardless of league format.

Cassius Stanely is reportedly set to sign a contract with the Pistons.
Stanley’s deal with Detroit will likely just be for training camp, but perhaps with an impressive showing, he’ll be able to earn a two-way spot with the club. He’s well off the radar in fantasy hoops, though.

The Indiana Pacers have pulled their qualifying offer on Cassius Stanley, making him an unrestricted free agent, according to J. Michael of the IndyStar.
According to reports, Stanley has received an invite to training camp, so he can compete for a roster spot on the Pacers, or seek an opportunity elsewhere. Stanley was on a two-way contract last season and appeared in 24 games for the Pacers and did next to nothing in those appearances.
