Jaguars signed DE Cassius Marsh, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old is making it out of the NFC West after playing for the Seahawks, 49ers, and Cardinals since coming into the league in 2014. He also made a pit stop with the Patriots in 2017. Marsh played 38% of the defensive snaps for Arizona last year, registering 2.5 sacks. He has 14 QB take-downs through six campaigns.

    Cardinals signed DE Cassius Marsh.
The Seahawks parted ways with Marsh to make room for Jadeveon Clowney’s nearly-$16 million salary. Marsh performed admirably enough as a pass rusher in 2018, racking up 5.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits. Overall, he earned PFF’s 76th-highest grade among 177 qualified edge defenders. Marsh is expected to serve as a rotational piece alongside starters Terrell Suggs and Chandler Jones.

    Seahawks released DE Cassius Marsh.
Marsh was signed to a one-year deal in April. The release clears $1.25 million in cap room as the Seahawks look to move some money to accommodate Jadeveon Clowney’s nearly-$16 million salary.

Seahawks signed DE Cassius Marsh, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year contract.
Marsh notched 5.5 sacks on 550 snaps for the 49ers last season but was released in March. Seattle is where Marsh spent the first three years of his career, so he has great familiarity with coach Pete Carroll’s system. He will fight for a role as a situational pass rusher.

    49ers released DE Cassius Marsh.
His release frees up $5.1 million in cap space. Marsh set career-highs in both sacks (5.5) and tackles (38) in 2018 but became expendable when the Niners acquired Pro Bowler Dee Ford from Kansas City. The former UCLA Bruin shouldn’t take long to resurface.

Patriots acquired DE Cassius Marsh from the Seahawks in exchange for 2018 fifth- and seventh-round picks.
Marsh recorded 22 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 387 snaps last season. He has one year left on his rookie deal. Marsh is a high-energy player who can also play special teams.

Seahawks DE Cassius Marsh has spent time at linebacker this offseason.
A 2014 fourth-rounder, Marsh played just 71 rookie snaps before a foot injury ended his season. Standing in at 6-foot-4, 254 pounds, the Seahawks had initially planned to bulk Marsh up into the 275 range, but that’s no longer looking likely. His athletic profile fits the strong side.

At rookie minicamp, the Seahawks used fourth-round pick Cassius Marsh at five-technique defensive end.
It’s Michael Bennett’s position with Red Bryant gone to Jacksonville. Marsh has reportedly put on a show at rookie camp, and he’ll get more opportunities to shine among veterans at OTAs. For now, Marsh appears to be penciled in as Bennett’s primary backup, though Greg Scruggs will also be in the mix there.
