Celtics players Aaron Nesmith, Bruno Fernando, Justin Jackson and C.J. Miles have all entered the league’s health and safety protocols on Friday.
These four guys, along with Enes Freedom, Sam Hauser, Josh Richardson and Grant Williams are all listed as out for their Christmas Day game against the Bucks, while Al Horford, Juancho Hernangomez, Jabari Parker and Brodric Thomas are all listed as questionable, all due to protocols. Romeo Langford and Marcus Smart are also questionable with injuries, which leaves the team with six available guys confirmed at the moment. This is a mess, and some signings seem inevitable if they want to play, so we’ll let you know when that happens.

The Wizards will waive C.J. Miles (wrist) in order to clear a roster spot for center Anzejs Pasecniks.
Miles recently underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his left wrist and is likely out for the season. Pasecniks has played well on his two-way deal and will now be on a full NBA contract. Miles may latch on with a contender if he can get healthy ahead of schedule, but he’s unlikely to get back on the fantasy radar any time soon.

C.J. Miles underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair ligament damage in his left wrist and he is currently without an official timetable to return.
It’s possible this procedure will take Miles out for the rest of the year, but that doesn’t mean much in fantasy hoops. He was averaging just 6.4 points and 1.1 triples per game in 16 minutes a night.

According to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post, CJ Miles will visit a specialist on Monday for further evaluation on his damaged left wrist that may require season-ending surgery.
Miles was averaging 6.4 points in 16.1 minutes per game over ten appearances for the Wizards this season. He should be on the waiver wire in all fantasy formats. Troy Brown, Jordan McRae and Isaac Bonga should all see a slight uptick in minutes with Miles sidelined.

C.J. Miles (left wrist ligament injury) will not play for the rest of Washington’s road trip.
Wednesday was a back-to-back set for the Wizards, but they’ll be a little thin on the wing for at least two more games. Jordan McRae has played a lot better these days, so he could have more opportunities for playing time. Miles first chance to return will be Tuesday, Dec. 3.

C.J. Miles scored a season-high 18 points during Sunday’s road loss, shooting 5-of-9 from the field with all of his makes beyond the arc.
Miles was also 3-of-3 at the line but he added just one assist and one steal in 19 minutes, so it was a hollow fantasy line. The Wizards were also without Jordan McRae tonight due to illness, which shifted a few more minutes to Miles. Unless you’re desperate for 3-pointers, just leave him on the waiver wire.
  • FA Small Forward #34
C.J. Miles scored 15 points with two rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 23 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday.
In a revenge game, everything fell Miles’ way with the Wizards trailing while young guns Rui Hachimura and Troy Brown struggled on offense. Miles could be used situationally because putting shooters around Beal makes sense, but he’s more of a streaming play for fantasy owners in deeper leagues.

C.J. Miles (foot) made his season debut on Monday vs. the Pistons with 12 points, two rebounds, one dime and one triple in 19 minutes.
That’s probably where his workload will stick around going forward. Miles has the Danny Green gene of scoring 15 points one game and then disappearing in another, but doesn’t have the defensive stat upside of Green. He’s just a points and triples streamer in deep leagues.
  • FA Small Forward #34
C.J. Miles (foot) will be available to play on Monday against the Pistons.
He’s going to have a minutes limit and is unlikely to have fantasy value in most leagues, but getting Miles back in the mix will help solve some of the spacing issues in D.C., which is good news for Bradley Beal.
  • FA Small Forward #34
C.J. Miles (left foot) practice on Sunday and is questionable to play on Monday against Detroit.
Coach Scott Brooks said “We’ll see” in regards to Miles’ potential availability against the Pistons. The Wizards could use his shooting, but he’s not going to have much of a role on the rebuilding squad.
