  • FA Running Back #44
Raiders tendered contracts to exclusive rights free agents FB Marcel Reece, DE Mason Brodine and CB Bryan McCann.
The Raiders also tendered restricted free agent DE Desmond Bryant. Keeping Reece was a priority for the Raiders after he caught a combined 52 passes for 634 yards the past two seasons. With Michael Bush expected to depart via free agency, it’s possible Reece will see his role in the running game grow in 2012.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
    Raiders signed CB Bryan McCann.
McCann had a few highlight plays as a returner and reserve cornerback in 2010, but he’s been waived by the Cowboys and Ravens already this season. He’ll add depth with Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson injured.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
    Cowboys waived CB Bryan McCann.
McCann made a series of big plays in the second half of last season, but he fell out of favor behind Alan Ball by Week 1. His release is a sign that Terence Newman (groin) should be good to go this week against the Redskins.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
    Ravens waived CB/KR Bryan McCann.
With David Reed expected to overtake kick return duties and adequate cornerback depth in Jimmy Smith and Chris Carr, McCann was expendable. In a joint announcement, Baltimore promoted OLB Chavis Williams from practice squad to active roster.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
    Dolphins signed CB Bryan McCann.
Cornerback De’Andre Presley was waived in a corresponding move. McCann offers versatility as a subpackage corner and return candidate in Miami. He’s seen time with the Cowboys, Ravens, and Raiders.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
Ravens signed CB Bryan McCann to a two-year contract.
McCann was waived two weeks ago so the Cowboys could sign Laurent Robinson, and the Ravens scooped him up. It’s his second stint in Baltimore. McCann will provide depth with Domonique Foxworth on injured reserve and both Chris Carr (hamstring) and Jimmy Smith (ankle) hobbled.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
The Dolphins declined to tender restricted free agents WR Marlon Moore, S Jonathon Amaya, TE Jeron Mastrud, and DB Bryan McCann, and exclusive rights free agent Patrick Brown, making them unrestricted free agents.
The Dolphins want some of the above players back, but weren’t willing to pay the cost of the lowest possible tender. Moore, 25, caught six passes for 116 yards and a touchdown last season. Amaya and McCann play special teams.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
Cardinals signed CB Bryan McCann to a one-year contract.
McCann, 25, appeared in eight games for the Dolphins last season, registering ten tackles, one sack, and one pass breakup. McCann can also return kicks. In Arizona, he’ll compete for a job on special teams.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
Free agent CB Bryan McCann wants to find a team willing to give him a chance to start.
“We’re looking for a starting spot,” said McCann’s agent. “That’s his desire. I believe he can do that.” McCann, 26, has never started a game in his four seasons with five different teams. He’s played a total of 327 defensive snaps in 35 career games. McCann has been a pure special teams player.
  • FA Defensive Back #37
    Cardinals re-signed CB Bryan McCann.
WR Teddy Williams (Achilles’) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Originally signed in April, McCann was released at final cuts. McCann has 29 games of NFL experience, and will contribute on special teams in the desert.
