    Broncos waived WR Brendan Langley.
The 2017 third-rounder had been trying to convert to receiver after playing corner his first two seasons. His two-way “ability” could get him a second chance.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
Former third-round Broncos CB Brendan Langley has converted to wide receiver.
Langley apparently showed well as a wideout on the scout team last year. It was his original college position. Langley blew up the 2017 Combine before coming off the board at No. 101 overall. His odds of a successful transition are extremely long, of course.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
Broncos selected Lamar CB Brendan Langley with the No. 101 pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Langley (6’0/189) committed to Georgia as a four-star high school recruit, but struggled for playing time and resurfaced at small-school Lamar in Texas, where he converted from wide receiver to cornerback in 2016 and earned first-team All-Southland Conference as both a defensive back and return specialist. Langley intercepted six passes as a senior and combined for three return scores. His stock rose in Indy with a 4.43 forty and 22 bench-press reps. A size-speed prospect who is still learning how to play corner, Langley offers long-range upside but is unlikely to contribute much in year one.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
Broncos signed third-round CB Brendan Langley to a four-year, $3.18 million contract.
More athlete than finished product at corner, Langley boasts NFL size and speed, and has top-notch return skills. The Broncos should hope he carves out an immediate role on special teams before gradually coming of age on defense.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
Brendan Langley suffered a knee injury against the Chargers in Week 1 and will not return.
The third-round pick was seeing some time in pass-heavy sets and the severity isn’t known. Langley should be considered questionable for Week 2 against the Cowboys.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
    Broncos waived CB Brendan Langley.
Langley was a third-round pick in last year’s draft. He made 11 rookie appearances, but failed to move the needle. The Broncos also waived 2017 third-round WR Carlos Henderson on Saturday. That’s not a good draft.
