Brandon Moore and Manny Lawson are currently the 49ers’ scheduled starting outside linebackers.
Mike Nolan says rookie Parys Haralson isn’t far behind the veteran Moore. Lawson is being pushed by Corey Smith.
  • FA Linebacker
LB Brandon Moore is expected to return to a reserve role this season.
Moore came up with five sacks, 71 tackles, and an interception starting in place of an injured Jeff Ulbrich last season. The Niners seem to think Corey Smith would be a better option starting on the weak side.
  • FA Linebacker
LB Brandon Moore is being limited in 49ers OTAs with an injured hamstring.
Moore, a versatile veteran the Niners made a point to re-sign this offseason, is expected to at least compete for a starting spot.
  • FA Linebacker
49ers starting OLB Brandon Moore will miss at least a week with a knee injury.
San Francisco is very thin at outside linebacker. They will have to shift some positions or use an undrafted rookie as a starter in the meantime.
  • FA Linebacker
Brandon Moore, Julian Peterson’s replacement at “buck” linebacker, had eight tackles on Sunday.
San Francisco’s defense is geared to funnel plays toward that LB spot. Moore should have some IDP value this season because of it.
  • FA Linebacker
49ers linebacker Brandon Moore was replaced in the starting lineup in week eight.
Jeff Ulbrich replaced him. Moore has no IDP value as a reserve.
  • FA Linebacker
49ers linebacker Brandon Moore was carted off the field tonight with a high ankle sprain.
He’ll probably miss a few weeks.
  • FA Linebacker
Brandon Moore will start at inside linebacker Sunday against Washington.
With both Jeff Ulbrich and Saleem Rasheed out, Moore gets thrown into the fire. He is primarily a special-teams player, but has started at linebacker five times in his career.
  • SF Linebacker
49ers released LB Hannibal Navies and re-signed FB Zak Keasey from their practice squad.
Keasey is a special teamer, so his activation shouldn’t been viewed as a negative indication towards Frank Gore’s status for game day. It appears the Niners will rotate Parys Haralson and Brandon Moore at ROLB going forward.
  • SF Linebacker #52
Patrick Willis has moved into the starting lineup for San Francisco at weak inside linebacker, ahead of Brandon Moore.
Willis will play MIKE, the position that sees the most tackle opportunities in the Niners’ 3-4 defense. Derek Smith will slide over to the TED, or the inside, strong side spot. Willis will be an every-down player as a rookie.
