In what has been a very difficult 2020 season for the Boston Red Sox, rookie first baseman Bobby Dalbec is giving fans reason for optimism.
Dalbec homered twice against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday -- one HR in each game of the doubleheader -- giving him five homers total in his first nine MLB games.

The 25-year-old first baseman is batting .250 with five home runs, eight RBI, six runs scored and three walks in nine games. Dalbec is already tied for fifth on the Red Sox in homers despite playing in roughly 20 percent of the team's 44 games this season.
Dalbec's power was already known before he got to the majors, but for him to crush MLB pitching the way he has through nine games is awfully impressive and a very positive sign for Boston's future.
