The Boston Red Sox continue to trim their major league roster with Opening Day less than two weeks away.
After Sunday's spring training game vs. the Minnesota Twins, the team announced its latest round of roster cuts. Outfield prospect Jarren Duran was among them as he was optioned to Triple-A Worcester. Joining Duran on the WooSox are catchers Ronaldo Hernandez and Connor Wong.

Catchers Roldani Baldwin and Kole Cottam, infielders Ryan Fitzgerald and Roberto Ramos, and right-handed pitchers Michael Feliz, Silvino Bracho, Taylor Cole, Darin Gillies, Geoff Hartlieb, and Zack Kelly were reassigned to minor league camp.
Duran went 6-for-18 (.333) in his spring stint with the big-league club. Fitzgerald was a surprise standout with a .313/.450/1.063 slash line and four homers.
The Red Sox fell to the Twins 6-3 on Sunday. Next up is a Tuesday matchup vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Boston will begin its regular season on the road April 7 vs. the New York Yankees.
