Kenley Jansen gave the Boston Red Sox a scare in the ninth inning of Friday's spring training game vs. the Atlanta Braves.
The newly-acquired closer, who signed a two-year contract worth $ 32 million during the offseason, left with a trainer after recording one out against his former team. According to Red Sox manager Alex Cora, Jansen was feeling lightheaded and "should be fine."

While it's good news the 35-year-old didn't sustain an injury, it's worth nothing he has a history of atrial fibrillation. He had a stint on the injured list due to an irregular heartbeat last season and underwent an ablation procedure in November 2018 after experiencing A-fib during a road trip in Denver. He had a similar procedure in 2012 and experienced an irregular heartbeat in 2011 as well.
It's unclear whether Jansen's atrial fibrillation history had anything to do with his lightheadedness on Friday.
Jansen recorded one out and allowed a single, a game-tying two-run homer and a walk before leaving the game. The Red Sox beat the Braves on a walk-off Triston Casas two-run homer, 9-8.
