Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is a run-scoring machine.
Betts scored a run in his 13th consecutive game as a result of Rafael Devers' three-run homer in Thursday afternoon's matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. The reigning American League MVP award winner now is tied with Hall of Famer and Red Sox legend Ted Williams for the longest run-scoring streak in a single season in team history.
Betts on Wednesday became the first Red Sox player since Nomar Garciaparra in 1998 to score a run in 12 straight games.
The 26-year-old star's league-leading 84 runs entering Thursday were 10 more than Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout in second place.
Betts is batting .281 with 13 home runs, 43 RBI and a .396 on-base percentage in 94 games this season.
