The Boston Red Sox made a splash in free agency Friday night as they reportedly agreed to terms with Kiké Hernandez.
According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the former Los Angeles Dodgers utility man is signing a two-year, $14 million contract with Boston.

SIGN UP HERE The versatile Hernandez has played every position except catcher since entering the league with L.A. in 2014. Primarily a second baseman and outfielder with the Dodgers, the 29-year-old likely will spend most of his time at second with the Red Sox.
Last season with the World Series champions, Hernandez hit .230 with 5 home runs and a .680 OPS. His most productive offensive season came in 2018 when he hit 21 homers with a .806 OPS in 145 games.
It's also worth noting Hernandez's connection with Alex Cora. Hernandez played on Team Puerto Rico during the 2017 World Baseball Classic when Cora was the GM.
