John Tomase and Lou Merloni discuss why the Red Sox shouldn’t be hesitant to trade a pitching prospect
Garrett Whitlock and Kiké Hernandez are close to returning to the Boston Red Sox after spending the last month on the injured list. Before rejoining the big-league club, they were sent to Triple-A Worcester for a rehab assignment on Friday.
Hernandez, working his way back from a right hip flexor strain, was in the lineup as a designated hitter. He finished 0-for-4 with a lineout, groundout, and two strikeouts.

No word on whether there were any outbursts in the tunnel, but this time the WooSox were prepared:
Worcester fell to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 5-3.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Friday that Hernandez will play center field for the WooSox in Saturday's game. Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi will make his rehab start on Sunday.
