A grand total of six innings in the last four seasons.
That's how much time Mookie Betts has spent at second base since 2014, but that's not stopping Alex Cora from considering shifting Betts from the outfield to the infield when the World Series shifts to Los Angeles for Games 3-5 this weekend.
"Right now I'm an outfielder," said Betts. "I do work in the infield to get ready for the outfield, but if that time comes, then it comes."
"(Mookie) feels that he's great at second," Cora said. "I don't know. I never saw it. If you ask him, he'll say, 'I'm great.' If you ask (Dustin) Pedroia, then he'll say, 'He sucked.' I don't know. There's a lot that goes into it."

For his part, Betts is ready for anything.

"Who knows? That's above my pay grade," Betts told NBC Sports Boston's Abby Chin when she caught up with him during Monday night's Celtics game against the Magic. "I just go out and go wherever they tell me to go."
Shifting Betts to the infield would allow Cora to slot J.D. Martinez alongside Andrew Benintendi and Jackie Bradley Jr. in the Dodger Stadium outfield, though he could also keep Betts in the outfield and leave Benintendi or Bradley on the bench to start games in the National League park.
And even though Betts hasn't played infield on a regular basis since he was a minor leaguer, his teammates have all the confidence in the world he'll succeed if he shifts positions this weekend.
"We'll see what happens," said Bradley. "He came up as a second baseman, so why couldn't he do it?"
"He does anything, so it wouldn't surprise me," echoed Martinez, who went on to explain that the Sox have total faith in their manager. "From a player's standpoint, I think all the guys are thinking, 'Hey, we don't care what we gotta do, we don't care who's gotta play.' I don't think there are any egos here on this team. I think everybody's willing to do whatever it takes for us to win. We trust Alex, and whatever Alex decides to put out there."
MORE WORLD SERIES COVERAGE
Betts has been taking grounders at second base in workouts at Fenway in recent days, and he has also consulted with Dustin Pedroia about playing in the infield.
"The most important thing he said was to get out of the way when the slide is coming in," said Betts. "Obviously I'm going to do what I can if the opportunity presents itself to make sure I take care of everything, but I think safety is the most important thing."
His potential double-play partner Xander Bogaerts also stressed the importance of safety in the event Betts is playing a position where Dodgers (including Manny Machado and his cleats) would be bearing down on him while trying to turn two.
"That new rule at second base is definitely beneficial for him if he plays," Bogaerts said. "Because that was one of his toughest plays, just turning double plays because guys could just kick him into left field back then -- not now."
Either way, Cora and Betts will have a few more days to figure things out, since Betts will be patrolling his usual position of right field when the Sox and Dodgers take the field for Game 1 at Fenway Tuesday night.
