Highly touted Boston Red Sox prospect Triston Casas was officially called up to the MLB on Sunday, and he'll be in the lineup for the series finale against the Texas Rangers at Fenway Park.
Casas told reporters Sunday morning that he'll play first base and bat sixth. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET.

With the Red Sox having almost no chance to reach the postseason, giving younger players and top prospects like Casas a chance to earn valuable major league experience in September should be a priority.
The 22-year-old Casas batted .278 with 11 home runs, 38 RBI and a .382 on-base percentage in 72 games for Triple-A Worcester this season.

Casas is the 26th-ranked prospect in baseball and could give the Red Sox a much-needed boost at the plate from the first base position. Red Sox first basemen are batting just .224 with a .292 on-base percentage this season.
