Is Brady buying this Tampa-area mansion? Reports conflict

Tom Brady looks like he's settling in nicely with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But has he settled down?

The 43-year-old quarterback and his family had been renting out Derek Jeter's Davis Islands mansion in Tampa since early April, shortly after he left the New England Patriots in free agency.

Jeter put his mansion on the market last month, however, meaning the Brady clan needs a new place to live.

According to TMZ Sports, they just found a spot: Brady is "in the final stages of a deal" on a $7.5 million waterfront mansion in Clearwater, Fla., per the network.

The sprawling 5-bedroom house -- located at 837 Harbor Island -- features a private dock, a private gym, its own elevator and more. Seems like a fine place for a six-time Super Bowl champion to live.

But apparently the sale is no done deal. A spokesperson for Smith & Associates Real Estate, which has listed the property online, refuted TMZ Sports' report, telling the Tampa Bay Times that Brady "is not associated with the sale of this house."

It's possible Brady just hasn't finalized the deal on his new digs and that the real estate company doesn't want to confirm anything until the sale is final.

Brady and the 3-1 Bucs will battle the 3-1 Chicago Bears on Thursday night, so we're guessing he won't be closing on any deals later this evening.
