Tom Brady is now the proud owner of a seven-bedroom, 14,862-square foot home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
According to Homes of the Rich, Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, have purchased the stone mansion, built in 1990, that sits on 10 acres of land in the tony suburb that borders New York state. The site did not mention a sale price.
One rumor, via a Greenwich realtor, is that the home was once owned by actor and director Ron Howard.
In terms of square footage and acreage, it's an upgrade from the couple's 9,700-square foot, five-acre Brookline, Mass., home that was first listed in August and remains for sale and earlier this month reportedly had its sale price reduced from $39.5 million to $33.6 million.
The Patriots quarterback can become a free agent in March. That fact, and the sale of his home and this purchase, has led to plenty of speculation about his future with the Patriots. Brady last week dismissed such speculation as "just hype."
"Everyone's trying to make money, and that's what it's about," the 42-year-old six-time Super Bowl champion told reporters last Friday.

As for his new home, in addition to the seven bedrooms, Homes of the Rich says it has eight full and four half bathrooms, a two-story foyer with a staircase, a two-story great room, a formal dining room, gourmet kitchen, breakfast room, family room, gym, indoor pool and three-car garage.
The Brookline house, built between 2013-15, also includes a 2,400-square foot guest house (and a yoga studio), a pool, a three-car garage (with pavement parking for about 20 cars) and an organic vegetable and herb garden.
Editor's Note: A representative from Compass Real Estate told NBC Sports Boston that the Greenwich home featured in the "Homes of the Rich" report has been purchased, but not by Brady and Bundchen.
Compass oversaw the sale of the home and would not reveal the buyer but confirmed it was not the Brady family.
